LAINE + ALLIAGE
Laine + Alliage is a design atelier based in New York. Founder Tania Leipold moved to New York City for the Fashion Institute, and stayed for the energy NYC had to offer. In search for more creativity than her fashion studies provided, she found the world of interiors which quickly took over her inspiration. Since then, her style has evolved towards a natural, poetic and romantic aesthetic.
Today Laine + Alliage is inspired by color, movement, shape and light. From these elements emerges a mood, a place in time that guides the narrative forward. Dance, from the lines to the musicality, has always been a large part of Tania’s life. It’s now in every picture she takes, it’s in the materiality, and also in how she interprets composition. Partly growing up in Paris introduced her to the magical world of Haute Couture with its meticulous handwork, the pearls and jewels, and endless ruffles of organza. Fashion enamored her, and it’s what she keeps with her when she designs.
